  • Meaning “sunset” in Italian, this “Tramonti” Sauvignon is from the winery Specogna, but from a special line of wines produced under the different label, Toblar. This sauvignon is made from batches of grapes spanning the entire vineyard property, and represent the whole area of Friuli in only one bottle.

    Fermentation and refinery: Fermentation takes place at 15°C in stainless steel fermenters, and the wine is bottled in late winter.

    Tasting notes: Straw yellow with pale green highlights, this sauvignon is delicate and aromatic, showing crisp citrus and pungent herbs such as sage and mint, with a hint of herbaceous tomato leaf and green pepper. A faithful exemplar of the varietal, this wine has lively acidity and is appealing overall.
    Pairing Suggestions: Superb as an aperitif, also pairs well with appetizers of raw fish, oysters.
