A perfect blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which most commonly appears in blended red wines, where it adds herbaceous accents of tobacco and dark spice. In Friuli, this blend is a daily staple, though 100% Cabernet Francs are also common. Enjoy the balance in this wine from the young but promising winery.
Pinot Nero has been grown in Friuli for only a very short while, making it still a very rare fine, but this corner of Italy is actually perfect for this grape. In the pre-alpine hills it finds its best habitat , caressed by the fresh winds coming from the mountains, where it fully exploits the typical thermal excursion of the area due to the soil.
This wine is sure to be a conversation-starter, you won’t believe you are looking at a pinot grigio. The unique light pink color with coppery highlights is the result of prolonged contact with the skins of the grapes during cellar fermentation. Refreshing fruit and flowery undertones complement this gorgeous wine that is sure to impress, you can’t find anything else like it!
